When You Are…..

When the day brings heaviness…..

When you feel overwhelmed…..

When you are burned out…..

When you are burdened…..

When you are exhausted…..

When you are frustrated…..

When you are in need…..

Go to Him and He will give you rest.

You are Loved

There is no greater feeling than that of being loved. Knowing you are loved just makes the world seem a bit brighter. But let’s face it. There are times when we question whether love is real. We question if we are loved. Are we lovable? Do we matter? Does anyone care about us? Sometimes these thoughts and questions seem to overwhelm us. But there is One who loves us always. There is One who took on our sins and died for us all out of His great love for us. He chose to give his life so that we could have life because of LOVE. You are His beloved. You are precious to Him. You have value. You have worth. You matter. I don’t know if you basking in the light of knowing that you are loved right now, or if you are questioning whether or not you are loved, but I do know that Jesus loves you more than you can ever imagine. I pray that you will know how loved you are. Rest in His love.

Walk in Love

ImageObama sure has everyone stirred up with his latest announcement. Whether you are in support of his announcement or against it, you have to admit it has you a bit stirred up. And for some this has probably become the topic of conversation in the teacher’s lounge, the break room, lunch meetings, and various other places. But are we really hearing ourselves when our lips are just a flapping? Do the words that come out of our mouths speak love or hate? As a disciple of Christ, I am called to walk in love and grace. And that means that I am to show that love and grace to all people. To Obama. To those in support of same sex marriage. To those opposed to same sex marriage. I may not agree with everything that Obama ( or anyone for that matter) says or does, but I am still called to see him through the eyes of Christ. I am still called to see those in same sex relationships through the eyes of Christ. I really feel that the Holy Spirit has been working on me as I have thought on Obama’s announcement. I do not know his heart. I do not know how he has struggled with his decision. I do not know how he asked God to search his heart in this. Only God knows him from the inside out. Only God knows his heart. Only God knows the struggle he has had in making this announcement. If we are to truly be the expression of Christ to ALL people then we need to make sure that our words show the love of Christ to ALL people.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love on another.” John 13:34-35, NIV

“And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:2, NIV

And So the New Journey Begins

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1NIV

Change. Sometimes it’s a word we fear. Sometimes it’s a word we welcome. Change can be bad, but change can also be good. God is doing some changing in my life right now. Well, in my family. He is opening the door for Brian and I to plant a church. Church planting is what we feel God hs called us to. Not everyone understands church planting or church planters for that matter. But we are stepping out in faith to do what God has called us to. We don’t know what all God has in store, but we trust thatjust good. I know that what God is going to do is going to be far more anything that I could ever imagine. It will be amazing! It will be magnificent, it will be powerful! It will life changing! It will be Kingdom explosive! So, we welcome the change, even if we don’t like packing and taping boxes. We welcome the change because we know that what God has in store is going to be awesome! So, let the journey begin and may we make an impact for the Kingdom!
